Police in Modesto say a woman walked into a Wells Fargo branch Thursday afternoon and handed the teller a note demanding money.
The robbery happened at the McHenry Avenue branch shortly before 2 p.m. The woman reportedly claimed to have a gun, though one was never seen.
Police say the woman left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspected robber is described as a heavyset black woman between 30 and 40 years old. She was wearing a tan beanie, a light brown hoodie and blue pants, and had a noticeable gap between her two front teeth.
